I've been wanting to write or talk about, or have other people talk about transiting Chiron over natal Eris. Eris is a very slow moving dwarf planet so pretty much everyone alive has their Eris in Aries. Chiron has been transiting Aries since 2018 and will continue until 2027. If you are unfamiliar with Eris the short version of the story is she is all about creation through chaos. Truth with a disregard for the outcome of what that truth reveals or what happens next. For me the most telling story is not the mythology of the Goddess, but the actual discovery of Eris. It was the discovery of Eris that made the astronomical community have to reevaluate what it means to be a planet ultimately causing Pluto to not be considered a planet anymore. This is a very disruptive energy that we all have that needs to be expressed in one way or another. When we have a transit it is something outside of ourselves activating something within us. When Chiron is activating anything within our charts we are going to find other people's sensitivities and unresolved pains activating us. So for all of us sometime during this 9 year time frame, keeping in mind that by 2024 it will be the newborn babies that have this. We will be activated to speak truth by other's sensitivities and this can be met with extreme resistance and anger. The fact is we will be on both ends of this. We don't want to dig our heals in when we find ourselves in these activations, but take the opportunity to recognize what is true within us and what is being revealed to be healed. Have compassion for yourself and for the other. Remove yourself from the situation to process. Right now this is going be active for those of us in our mid-40s. Mine is almost exact at the moment. It also happens to be conjunct my midheaven which is the most public part of ourselves. So this is an energy that people see in me all of the time and is an integral as to how I leave my mark on the world.
